1933 Marked the first year for Cadillac's major design change as the moved from the Classic era into the ART DECO period. The 1933 Model year was a year of many one year only styling cues. It is an excellent blend of classic styling with the Deco design. It was the first year that Cadillac did not have an outside radiator cap with the hood ornament. The Heron mascot on the car was used for one year only. Special Art Deco style bumpers were used with the interesting three bar design in the center. Fully skirted fenders with side mounts that sit deep in the spare tire wells and are raised out with a special lifting mechanism. A one year only grill design with horizontal side vents in the hood. 1933 was a sleek and stylish year for Cadillac's Art Deco period. Produced during the depression 1933 was the lowest production year for Cadillac, as well as many of the auto makers. This particular body style is very rare, since only 37 of this body style were produced in the entire production. This car represents an excellent opportunity for a unique vehicle with only one other remaining example of this rare automobile in existence today.

The 1933 Cadillac V12 offered here was frame off restored approximately 14 years ago and has been used sparingly over the years. It still remains in very good condition with a clean undercarriage. The chrome is in good condition with some minor scratches and micro pitting from polishing over the years. The front bumper has been buffed down to the nickel and should be re chromed depending on the level competition the new owner desires. The top is in like new condition and shows little or no use. The Black Leather interior is also in excellent condition and shows no sign of use or age. A rare item on these 1933 Cadillac is that this car retains it metal spare tire covers, which have often been removed or discarded over the years.

A unique feature of this particular car is the fact that it was a Fisher Body with a interior designed by Fleetwood. We have been told that this feature is unique to only two of the cars produced, but that information can not be verified at this time. The use of woodwork in the Fleetwood designed interior is wonderful. This particular design was copied from a very popular 1931 Fleetwood body design.

This Cadillac was used very little since restoration and has just been mechanically freshened. Mechanically this car runs and drives well, and has recently been serviced. The fuel system and cooling system have been flushed and cleaned. The carburetors have just been rebuilt and adjusted. A complete ignition tune up was performed including new coils, spark plugs, proper spark plug wires, new ignition points and condensers. A valve adjustment was performed. Its ready to go.

A very rare car that can be driven and enjoyed.
