* VERY Rare, Model 750
* Much of the restoration already complete

The Dunbar company was located in Chicago, established in 1900, they produced quality high end, peanut and popcorn equipment. The Dunbar wagons are much rarer than the Cretors wagons, because of there limited production. There wagons all featured a rotary Popcorn Popper that separated all un popped kernels and stores all the un popped corn in the hopper, for high volume popping. This is a rare opportunity to acquire a very rare and attractive model 750, that most of the difficult restoration work has been completed.

The model offered here is a model 750, it was Dunbar's second largest horse drawn wagon, it features the 12x15 Rotary popper, which will turn out 200 pounds an hour. The popcorn is discharged onto a large copper table, which is kept warm by the exhaust steam. It is fitted with a 15x22 Peanut roasting cylinder, that roasts 22lbs of peanuts at a time. In the rear of the machine is a separate peanut warming unit that can hold 100lbs of peanuts. The unit is also fitted with the original wiring for electric lights, which was an option. The wagon cost $1400, prior to any options. The wagon is currently painted, but I am told that the units could optionally be painted, or the standard factory finish was a natural varnished OAK. The entire wagon is made of seasoned Oak. I feel this wagon refinished in varnished oak would be stunning. All of the Nickel platting on the machine has been completed as seen in the photos. The unit features gorgeous beveled glass throughout. These units feature an extensive use of Nickel and copper. It is missing the chipped glass mirrors around the top but they are being reproduced. All the wagon wheels have been rebuilt with new hard rubber tires. The wood on this machine is all excellent with only one spot by the roof that needs repair. The tin roof is in excellent condition with Brass edging, and a full gutter system. Take a look at the original catalog photo, these are excellent machines. I have a reprint of the original catalog, that will be included.
